Mouth Watering Models Own!

Hey dolls! So a little while ago, Models Own were having a 50% off everything sale and I decided to basically clear them out of nail polish! I'm a pretty much faithful OPI, Nail Inc and Leighton Denny polish fan (premium brands), but tend to pick up a lot of my polishes from Barry M - they're so affordable and pretty good quality!
But I decided to give Models Own a go, and they're bloody marvelous! Delicious shades, pretty long lasting especially for someone like me who chips polish within 24 hours, and a pretty intense colour that only requires one coat!

I'm definitely converted!
I also can't wait to get my mitts on the Kardashian Kolors collection for Nicole by OPI:
My fave is "Khloe had a Little Lam-Lam" - the matt grey colour in the bottom right corner!

I'm in the middle of getting ready for New Years Eve tonight - actually braving a night out in London - I usually can't hack London on New Years but it's been years since I've been in my own city for NYE!
I'll post pictures of my outfit as well as my other recent purchases tomorrow!
What are people's plans for tonight? Hope everyone has a lovely night tonight, stay safe, go mad, feel fabulous and be yourself <3

The Kooples.

Ahhhrite?
So today I had a second attempt at post-Christmas shopping at Westfields Stratford City, London. I am in LOVE with Westfields. It's so near me and cuts down on the amount of Oxford Circus trekking I'll have to do. They literally have every store. Well, that's a lie, they don't have French Connection (wtf?) and American Apparel (fair enough), but it's still bloody marvelous! I'll do an extra long post of all the swag I bagged at rock bottom prices (I bought like 10 things at Primark and only spent £17!)

ANYWAY, one very special thing about Westfields is they have The Kooples. I have admired The Kooples through cyberspace for a while now; their pared down aesthetic, clean lines, androgynous motif, and super sexy-cool couples-cum-models. I practically ran across the shopping centre when I spotted the store.

The clothes are gorgeous! I love their colours (navy, burgundy, oat, mahogany, chocolate) and this season's clothes have a Cowboy theme - denim shirts, bolo ties, cowboy ankle boots. What more is they have a sale on pretty much everything in store. I was clutching onto this sexy t-shirt:
Which was reduced down from £68 to £54. Unfortunately enough for me, I'd already done serious damage to my credit card earlier so I had to leave this beauty behind, but I might have to venture back and rescue it...

Ghost World.

So I watched Ghost World the other day, and it's actually quite impressive. At first I was a bit nonplussed, but the writers definitely captured the teen voice so perfectly. After 10 minutes I could list off people who reminded me of Enid and Rebecca, that "hey let's follow this guy around" and "we're too cool to care about anything but let's spend time and effort to play a prank on a stranger."
Plus there was plenty to look at: the set, costume design, and I loved the lighting. I always find that films based on comics pay special attention to colour and set.
Enid's style is kinda punk-grunge-riot grrrl-nerd. I love her leopard print mini skrt, green plaid dress and little black blouse with white collar.
Oh, and Steve Buscemi is the MAN.

Make-up Bin

I find it so much easier to have all my make-up in a basket so I can see what I have. Inevitably things get lost and crushed and spilled in make-up bags, so I picked up a cheap white wicker bin from Wilkinsons for £6 and filled it with my make-up!

The make up brands I use the most are Illamasqua, MAC, NARS and Sleek. The pigment in Illamasqua products are immense - I use their powder foundation, liquid metal eyeshadows, and lipticks. MAC is a pretty steadfast brand, I LOVE their gel eyeliner pot in black and false lash mascara. NARS lipsticks are velvety smooth and highly pigmented. Again, Sleek has a high pigment for such an affordable brand, and is perfect for women of colour. I use their liquid foundation and powder blush.
Finally my brushes were a gift from a friend of mine and are Bobbi Brown. They are glorious!

My First Outfit Post!

How exciting! Now this is just a simple outfit that I would wear to university - I'm in my third year studying film and spending it in Galway, Ireland (which is a lovely city).
I go into uni everyday so I need loads of inexpensive, interchangeable things I can put together - not to mention I only took two suitcases with me: I have to make that stretch!

Cardigan £28 American Apparel * T-Shirt £10 Asos * Skirt 4euros New Look * Tights Primark * Socks Asos * Boots £24 Asos

I'm literally wearing 7 different colours... jesus.
